2 Free .EDU Backlinking Reports

Getting backlinks from “.edu” sites can give your website a big boost in the SERPs. This is because these websites are from established institutions and Google and the other search engines consider them more established and not SPAM sites.

There are a couple of strategies that I have used to get .edu backlinks to my niche sites. In fact, one of my sites in the IM niche was only 2 months old and I found myself on Google’s page one for a couple of competitive keyword phrases.

Out of my 12 incoming links from Yahoo Site Explorer, 2 of them were from .edu sites and a couple of others were from “authority blogs” in a related niche. My only other promotion tactics were on page SEO.

Is that all that was to it? I dunno…
